Spring Break & Brainiac’s Bday

This past week was spring break. I have to say it was enjoyed, even though we didn’t really “do” anything. It was nice to have the kids at home, not have to rush around to get out the door in the morning. Its always a nice break from the tedious every day.

Friday, as you all know, was Brainiac’s 8th birthday. We took him out to eat at Chili’s that night.

He was a little taken aback by the singing, but once everyone left it was open season on that dessert. I kid you not when I say the kids each grabbed a spoon, the huddled around it, a minute later sat back and the plate was empty.

It was like they have never had chocolate before. They have. I swear!

Brainiac’s main gift from us, was a scooter.

After dinner, we headed home and he was able to use the last little bit of daylight to try it out.

Of course there was a tumble, and I had to capture a picture of all the injuries. Stinkerbell had hurt her elbow earlier in the day, Bossman fell walking from Chili’s to the car, and then Brainiac fell off the scooter…the result:
